In the kitchen: No paper towel, kitchen towel, straws…

I try to buy organic large box/ size (since buying in bulk is really hard in HK) and then I store it in jars.

This is inside one sliding door, glass jars of sugar, flour, corn, cereals, cashews, lentils, chickpeas, homemade cookies, homemade croutons…

Spices and tea

988350_565576556827657_342691688_nExotic spices can be bought in large bags and I store them in small jars. I try to get the tea in bulk and refill the tin boxes at places like TWG (I wish they had more organic, fair trade tea).. I really like tea and sometimes it can be hard to find it in bulk (without the packaging, staples…)

The sink

The kitchen sink has 2 faucets, the thin one is for filtered water. 1/2 of our baby bottles are glass with 'Life Factory' from 'Tinyfootprints' store.

Water filter under the sink, I like it because it is very small. The brand is ‘Boulton’, I got it from ‘Wing On’ I think for less than HKD 3,000. The water tastes really nice.

Still under the sink, the cleaning basket with Baking Soda and Ecover for the dishwasher (organic, biodegradable packaging) cloths to clean. The garbage bags are 'Select' the biodegradable one, surprisingly super cheap.

This is the main bathroom.

I still believe I need my electrical brush but I hope one day I will use those recyclable toothbrushes. I have 1 small bag for my makeup (it is all Mac. Mac recycles all its packaging, if you bring 6 boxes they will give you 1 free lipstick). It probably took me a year to finish/ donate all the products I thought I needed.

┬áMy bathroom that I share with the children when they bathe. It probably took one year to finish/ donate most of my ‘beauty’ products. I realized we actually just need few great products. I use the same soap for my face & hand (same pump), the pink glass bottle is the body moisturizer Avalon (organic Australian brand, pretty cheap you can find it in most Watson’s, Mannings, some P&S) I like it when it looks pretty so I just refill this pink glass bottle.
